Four years after graduating with a business management degree, and after playing professional hockey, Anthony helped his parents officially start Zio’s Catering in 2015.




Our Story
Zio’s Catering is owned by Paul and Marina Maiani, along with their son, Anthony. Paul, the son of San Marino (Northern Italy) immigrants, has always had an impetuosity for cooking. To follow his passion, Paul started working at San Marino club while attending culinary school. However, to pay the bills, eventually commenced vocation in construction. Although, Paul’s love for food never stopped. After meeting Marina, the daughter of Italian (Lazio Region) immigrants. The two grew their love while cooking for family and friends. Paul’s cooking gifts and Marina’s knowledge of canning fresh homemade tomatoes, and hand rolling natural pasta abilities traveled fast.
Destiny struck in the year 2000, when Julie, the sister of Marina threw a New Year’s Eve party with 150 attending quests. Julie acquainted of Paul’s and Marina’s exceptional gifts for food making, did not hesitate to proposition the couple in making the party’s main course. Throughout the evening, the quests were shocked with amazement and they filled the rooms conversations by complimenting the chefs.
